Léargas Research Forum 2020: A Guide to the Presentations

On Tuesday November 10, the Léargas Research Forum looked at the impact and experience of European programmes in Ireland from 2014-2020.   • The Impact of Erasmus+ on Modern Foreign Languages in Ireland
    Dr. Britta C. Jung, Irish Research Council Post-doctoral Fellow

    This study, co-funded by Léargas and the Higher Education Authority through the Irish Research Council, examines how exposure to foreign languages has influenced attitudes to language learning in Ireland, through engagement with former, current and future Erasmus+ participants, and 19 in-depth interviews with former participants and project co-ordinators.

  • Tracing the Impact of European Work Experience on VET learners from Ireland

    This study, commissioned by the Higher Education Authority through the Irish Research Council,  identifies and analyses the effects of Erasmus+ on students and staff in the Irish Higher Education sector. It also identifies drivers and barriers to participation.
